James is senior partner at CAV_OK Family Office, where he supports longstanding relationships with our clients and provides financial guidance, including education and mentorship for the next generation, with special attention to tax planning.
Prior to CAV_OK, James founded two firms – Secrest Blakey & Associates, a financial planning, insurance, and investment management practice; and Davidson Accounting, a tax planning and accounting practice – to provide coordinated services for his clients. His rare-for-its-time, one-stop shop drew hundreds of families whom he served for 20 years. James is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® and Enrolled Agent.
James enjoys flying private planes and spending time with his wife, three grown children, and grandchildren. He is an avid sports spectator and attends Panthers games with family and friends. James lives in Davidson, NC.
